Loreleyblick Maria Ruh in Urbar

The hike from St. Goar to the Loreleyblick Maria Ruh, a wonderful excursion destination in the Middle Rhine Valley, is a wonderful experience! Well, after a long hike with a lot of uphill, an Alster, a Bockwurst and the hearty goulash soup tastes twice as good, but regardless of that, the quality of the food and drinks was good and cheap. The friendly wine advice from the waiter spontaneously prompted us to take an extra bottle of regional white wine with us. As it was getting dark while we were enjoying the wonderful soup with fresh herbs, we asked the young waiter to order a taxi. The local taxi service had refused the tour because they probably didn't have the time or wanted to take them. The waiter was very solution-oriented and, for once, drove us himself. We are very grateful! We will remember this experience fondly - thank you very much!

It is clear that it is worth taking a look at these surroundings, but it is definitely worth stopping here: stylishly furnished, great atmosphere and really good cuisine!

Nice view of the Loreley and over the Rhine. Own coffee roastery. Very nice service and delicious coffee. The prices are a bit hefty, which is certainly due to the view. Ordered a cream puff for 9 EUR, the portion felt too small for the price. It was nicely arranged for it.

Insider tip! Great terrace with delicious dishes and cakes. The view is fantastic. Hygiene concept adhered to in the best possible way. Very friendly service. The clean and modern toilets hold a little surprise in store (note the glass doors).

The viewpoint lives up to its name. Quiet, idyllic and beautifully situated above the Rhine, with a great view of the Loreley opposite and the Rhine Valley. Coffee and cake taste particularly delicious. The friendly service and the nice ambience rounded off our stay. We will be back.

We weren't in the restaurant but just right at the lookout point. Here you have a wonderful view of the Loreley and the narrow point on the Rhine. A place to refuel, where you can linger for a long time and watch the ships maneuvering through the narrow passage.

The way from Rheinfels Castle or St. Goar is very beautiful and worthwhile to Maria Ruh. The view from the restaurant itself was not as nice as expected. But we enjoyed cooling off with a cold drink in the garden area of ​​the restaurant. The hike there is recommended.

A really great view of the Rhine! Even on Saturday mornings, there is not too much rush here. And the numerous trees protect you from the sun, so that you can linger a little longer on the benches.

Just wonderful! Rarely met so nice and courteous staff. Eat and drink - fantastic! One of the few places in the Middle Rhine Valley where everything fits :) thanks a lot, we'll be back!

A magically maintained spot. The cafe is lovingly decorated, the cakes are excellent. We felt very comfortable here. The staff were quick and very attentive. The cafe is a nice starting point for a walk that always gave a view of the Loreley.

Absolutely love this place. Want to see the Loreley from another perspective? This is the place. Little kiosk to get a beer or something small to eat then walk about 50 meters to the small viewing area. Great view of the Loreley. Couple of adult size swings... and this is where the Loreley song was written

Nice view but that's all. Very limited menu, all meat (even salad is a sausage salad). The asparagus soup sounded nice but we were told it was only available after 6pm, with no indication of that on the menu. Service was short lipped and borderline rude. Left and took our money elsewhere.

Big woody hotel with a nice restaurant with fine local food. Alternatively while you are hiking it is a fine stop for a coffee with cookie with high views of the Rhine Gorge. It also has a shop with local liqueurs and other goodies. Highly recommend it!

Great ambience ... beautiful view and beautiful walks. The place very nice ... very nice and great cake .. breakfast ... wine etc. Home-roasted coffee ... dogs welcome ... full 5 stars

Very good location and view , the only problem is that since it's a family managed local . The kitchen closes early (probably@ 2) and after that time there is still the possibility to order cakes and drinks but no food. But still the friendliness of the management is something to note.

Nice place with nice view on Lorelei rock opposite side of the river.. In the bar outside you will get basic things to eat and to drink, sausages, ice creams, cakes, some dishes, Bier, juices..but you can also eat in normal restaurant there, but I never tried..

Overall this is a really nice place. The view of the river valley is amazing, the food was really good at least my Schnitzel. The staff were friendly and were able to accommodate a party of 13 on last minute notice.

The best view of the Loreley Cliffs. A nice cafe bar offers a fresh rosted coffee and a fantastic view.

Beautiful views and really relaxing stop at the restaurant. We only had drinks, therefore cannot judge the food. Overall a very pleasant experience.
